Strategies For Environmental Sustainability
Sustainability has become a critical issue in the automotive industry as concerns about climate change and the environment continue to grow.
Recycling and reusing materials helps reduce the amount of waste generated by the industry while reducing energy consumption helps reduce costs and improve profitability. Overall, the automotive industry has a critical role to play in promoting sustainability and reducing its impact on the environment. By adopting sustainable practices and technologies, it helps address climate change and create a more sustainable future for all. For Everest, managing and respecting the environment is more than complying with legal requirementsWe manage environmental impacts throughout our range of activities, as a company that has a high responsibility for environmental aspects and impacts.
The Department of Environment is always committed to providing support to minimize environmental impacts and facilitate continuous improvement of environmental performance across all Everest Group companies.
Everest continues to reduce its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and is carbon negative meaning we offset and remove more carbon than we emit.
We are producing around 1000 Tons/month billet aluminum. 70% is produced with end life aluminum products and post industrial scrap.
Our challenge going forward is to decouple business growth from emissions growth, while supporting clients and maintaining our distinctive global culture.
We are investing in services, technology and products to help clients decarbonize their businesses and accelerate the transition to a low-carbon economy.
Solar Panels
Everest takes another step towards green energy. After investments to increase energy efficiency, we decided to install a 1MW photovoltaic plant. Our monthly electricity consumption is an average of 300,000 KW. With the recent investment in the production of energy through Photovoltaic panels for days with maximum production capacity, we meet 70-80% of our consumption needs. Also this mitigate the building’s carbon emission by up to 85%.
